Moura, Serpa, Mourão.

Relatively homogeneous soils, gentle to moderate slopes, and hot, dry Mediterranean summers.

The Azeite de Moura PDO area includes the municipality of Moura (several parishes), the municipality of Serpa (several parishes) and the parish of Granja in Mourão.

The Romans found olive culture already here; millennial olive trees can still be found in the region. The saying “as fine as Moura olive oil” remains in everyday language.
